Rather huge pilot volume from the sprinkler to the blowgun, but since that is piloting the QEV, it should be fine.
Looks great, cant wait to see some damage.

It's a piston valve, not a QEV.

Reminds me of my first shotgun, a lot!

If you are able to double the blowgun outlet as the pressure inlet, you wouldn't need the current 1/4" ballvalve valve. It ruins the look.
Plus an elbow from the bottom of the blowgun would position the piping better.

Another point would be to shorten the lenght of pipe between the main valve and the actual barrel.
That's where you loose a lot of performance.

I know this type of cannon like the back of my hand so I just know it's a lot of fun!

in the picture of the valve setup it isent even soldered

Piston valve, excuse me.
Though technically your standard QEV is a piston valve, and and this piston valve that he made is designed to exhaust quickly, so it could also be called a quick exhaust valve, (though maybe not be given the title QEV)

Also, what is that deal half way down the barrel? It looks like you joined two pieces of pipe together, which could hurt your performance a little, and also potentially damage the gun, if ammo gets caught up on it.

i did not have a full length i spent about 15 mins deburing the pepipes befor i joined them even very snug ammo dose not get caught but it is not ideal

i was going to but decided no to so i can keep my air source connected becuse trying to push on a quick connect fitting with 240psi behind it is a pain in the

im going to make something similar but with a 54mm copper chamber and a 8 foot 35mm barrel

Detachable barrel extension perhaps?

It is more than okay for a cannon put together in a week, let alone an hour.
I was just offering some improvement ideas.

And here is another one:

Use spellcheck :D

Why not just put the disconnect on the back of the sprinkler valve, wouldn't the pressure lift the diaphragm and fill your chamber, just a thought. I agree with you on making the barrel thinner.

That's a nice gun.The barrel has to rifled for it to be a rifle. What pressures are you using? You could get some nice damage with this.

Me likey 8)

Also, it's a hobby, no need to be critical on names =p

Very nice gun, i am also with barrel mod. You should sand it to get the shiny look.

Oooh shiny. :D
Does anyone paint copper? I don't think I could bring myself to paint over such a nice material.

im thinking of remaking the chamber and making it look nicer currently im using at 190 240 range of my compressor. im loving it its way more fun than my getto cannon (one propain tank as the chamber) got a screw driver stuck
atleast 3 inches into a tree put a nice hole in a 1 inch thick wood fence
