Alright, I apologise for posting a link to an instructable that was very much directly related to the topic and using three dots because my post was to short and to trail off.

The reason I was being sarcastic was because you said that it had been posted on this website (being www.spudfiles.com) and that he should have "searched". You then prove him wrong and post a link to instructables.com.... not spudfiles. That's why I was being a dick about it.

That's fine, I was just wondering what you were on about.

I built something similar, and also one where I used a hacksaw and a file to create larger, straighter cuts (holes) for the air to go through. The one with the hacksawed air openings worked much better, so I'd recommend that for anyone who wants to make one.

What the McFook is everyone going on about? Get over yourselves. That's a great looking valve. Size for size, I wonder how it compares to a piston valve. I think I may have to try this after remembering that my aluminum 8mm barrel sleeves perfectly into 1/2'' copper tubing.

Question, this is a glorified poppet valve right?

Me thinks it would make an awwwesome large bore pilot .

Bad. This is not much different then a homemade blowgun*.

*To avoid confusion, with this blowgun, I do not mean blowgun as a pipe you put your mouth on and blow like he uses the word in his video, but the one we spudders use to pilot sprinklers and stuff.

On larger diameters and high pressures, this valve will become VERY hard to push in.

Yeah that was what I first thought. Either way I still reckon I'll give it a go. I've made just about everything there is when it comes to pneumatics .
