Though the gun is cool(I think it's been posted before), the article was written badly/annoying to view (such as this text illustrates), and didn't go into a ton of detail were we are concerned(Nineteen-eighty-four).

I agree. The gun is neat, but it's intended purpose was as a heavy support weapon for airsoft not unlike our vortex guns. However, it did find a place in law enforcement as a non lethal weapon, like our beloved Eclipse. (And probably costs around the same.)

Fnord, I'd have to say no in response to your signature. Our sprinkler system has been broken for years.

I remember seeing the four solenoid valves in the sprinkler system at our house in Spain for the first time, and thinking "oh..."

I thought you didn't like giving away your location? Or have you moved... I wouldn't expect you to let it slip that easily :D .

I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges.
Right now I'm having amnesia and deja vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before.

I was in Spain for work last year and made no secret of it, but now I'm back in my epoxy batcave somewhere in Europe ;p

I figured as much...

Now, if I could only get my hands on the satellite thermal imaging archives for Europe.... It ought to have seen the increase of heat all that setting epoxy would have caused.

I was the proud (and pained) owner of the strafer for about two months. As the article said, the strafer can be dangerous as can be see here. The problem was with the valve with my particular strafer, and Paul Piper said he wanted to personally look into the problem to make sure it doesn't happen again.

SEAKING9006 - the strafer was amazing for doing just that. I was getting about 100 yard range at 120 psi (about 300 fps) I would assume it had a longer range with the other regulator i had (170 psi ==> 600 fps) but then i wouldn't have been able to use it for all of the complaints i would have gotten.

as for price, by itself, the strafer is $1125. as shown in that article, it's probably pushing $2000. and it sucks up bbs like nothin' else. at 150 per second, you can't even fire for a full minute before the reservoir of about 7000 empties. by that time, you can pretty much turn your target into something resembling a lump of hamburger meat.

Not impressed by the article when all's said and done, a lot of sarcasm and mislabeling. I have a hard time seeing a strafer gun as "riot crowd control".

I know I would have been proud to have one of my guns in an article of any type, but a gun of that magnitude deserves better than that, at one point they even say
is a sadist's dream come true
that is not how I (or many people I would think) want to have our hobby viewed. We are not sadists looking for sadistic means of torture, and that I feel could really make people think less of our hobby, as if we really need any more of that.

All in all, I wouldn't be proud of this article, if the p3 creator is happy with it, then kudos to him, but I think it is the wrong type of publicity.
