I'll post a video of it firing when I get a chance to do so without waking the baby, or without neighbours calling the cops cause of the noise..
Darn cam shuts off the BOOM because of the click the lock makes...
I fired several LOUD shots however.

Well...Here's a crappy vid thanks to a crappy cam..It could have been so nice...but not even a puff...

After playing the vid and discovering the sound is not recorded..
I tried a different approach..You can see I'm real happy..

Well...I'll try again when Psy gets here...

Hehe,

Don't worry I know what it sounds like, my cannon has the same repeater ability.

However it is a lot quieter than dumping a whole tank ^^

It's pretty loud still, but the sound is shorter...in stead of BOOM
you get beng-beng-beng

I'm wondering how your hammer pilot compares to my valve pilot.

Because mine doesn't use a hammer, it just lets the pilot volume expand slightly each shot.

Of course it boils down to the same thing, not dumping the whole pilot in one go.

I don't dare aim mine at the cam at that close of range. But it's a little larger in the chamber. :D It's the bucket shot posted before.

That looks really good from the muzzle end, nice. You will eventually be posting target annihilation videos, right?

most certainly... :D
Oh and I wasn't aiming directly at the cam...Just an inch off.
It was resting on my fridgy, on top of my workbench.I didn;t want it to fall all the way down.

I admit it.Just the % of CO2 left in the air the fridgepump fills the gun with..

Did you build a similar hammered QEV gun?

I wouldn't do it with my other one either:

I'll contact you..

The hammer has been weighted with the aid of some lead, wich I hammered into the square hole in the hammerhead.

I also made the equalisation hole in the piston smaller by inserting an inner pen tube into it.Earlier I had stuck some tape over the hole, partially covering it, to get it to work.Offcourse that was no long term solution..The way I made it now it is!

It's now more powerful..I'll have to test the new max actuation pressure.
The number of shots went down by maybe 30%
Higher starting pressure should provide those lost shots back again in the upper region I couldn't get to earlier.

I also found out the hammer hit the bolt slightly wich prevented full out hammering..Fixed that too.

300 psi buries lead slugs into the same hardwood I made the stock from... So...hopefully ( will test tomorrow) I'll get it actuating above 500 psi later!

I'm just hoping I'll still get enough shots out of it.Oh and...the sound hurt my ear..so that cam is forked!( although the shots were not at their most powerful when I shot the vid, as I know now... :D )
