I was just looking at some of the bb guns that companies such as daisy and crossman have to offer. Living in australia, they are illegal here. I need to build my own one. Does anybody here know what kind of valve they use? Is it just a coaxial/piston? Or is it a more exotic design? I am aiming to build one like this: http://www.airgunsbbguns.com/Crosman_76 ... ro760b.htm.
Thanks.
.
Thanks.

I will give a link I have given befor,it is very usefull as it shows the special valves that airguns use. http://www.bryanandac.com/new_page_10.htm .That crossman pump action you plan to make, use a piston for it and it will function the same.
Forever dreaming...

I love that site, it looks like theyve added a few more guns to it. I might use this old coaxial piston setup ive had for ages, it doesnt need to be too powerfull as lon as it can shoot lead balls at over 500 fps Ill be very happy.

Look up my guns if you like airguns.I call ém big bore airguns instead of smallbore cannons.I use higher pressure but a smaller design. There;s a great link to an early airgun in my signature too.You can build a pump pneumatic airgun with spudgun technology. If you build a metal one it can hold a lot more pressure. If you can find one of those hand held CO2 "pumps" for bicycles and a small metal chamber you can make a pretty powerful gun.But remember, the bigger the bore the more force pushes the projectile.Bigger is more powerful.

That's the exact same type of BB rifle I have. I can try taking it apart and looking at the valve and how it's triggered because I don't shoot any more (I'm not allowed to cux I accidentally shot out 4 of my neighbors windows).

i think it either got shut down or the guy that maintained it died
in the upcoming presidential election, there will be several candidates who will be running, one of whom is Hillary Clinton. Now WAIT A SECOND!!! I though there was some sort of rule that prevented someone from serving more than two terms in office. Vote Against Hillary: Presidential Elections 08
This guy here makes from scratch some of the nicest air guns I have seen. http://www.glbarnes.com/db.html

Thanks a lot guys, this helps a lot. I might try with a coaxial for this one and maybe think about making a target rifle, small bore. Only problem is casting slugs for a small barrel. I can cast 1/4 inch with my fishing weight mold, but very small calibers I would have no idea.
