We have had discussions in keeping this and all pneumatics from being classed as firearms. The Air Force is only one branch(I just had some cool pics of them). They ALL have shown interest and have invited me to demonstrate it for fast tracking after some requested modifications and testing are comlpete. About to catch a flight home, but yes, there are things that it can do that other, non-pneumatics can't or don't do. The thing that kinda sucks is that in the future I will not be able to share as much info here. My new business partners akin paintball and recreational spudding to be too rock and roll for them and like to stay under the radar. Hell, I can't even talk on the phone the same way anymore without guidelines. I was myself not ready for the response I got. The top decision makers have already test fired it(and hit 6 of 6 on target with smiles on their faces). They were looking for this. Some asked "where have you been hiding, we need this."
Thanks for the kudos all.
Can't wait to mount them on these in the belt fed configuration...

Good luck to you on this future endeavor!
The government definitely has some strict "confidentiality agreements" don't they!
It appears that you have a created yourself a excellent business venture for the future!

Dude, that is awesome! I always thought this was a cool gun, but actually having the military interested in it this much that's just wicked!

yeah, that would suck if obama came thru with his anti gun bills and then sees that airguns can be dangerous and banns them. (Though he plans to sign a bill allowing loaded concealed guns in national parks). If he does, I promise I will keep up my hobby, as i'm sure most of you will too.Brian the brain wrote: Just hope they don't start classing pneumatic launchers as military weapons now...

My large one will simply revert to a sports equipment t shirt launcher. The small one a working model of the t shirt launcher. They were never designed to look like or operate like a gun.maverik94 wrote:yeah, that would suck if obama came thru with his anti gun bills and then sees that airguns can be dangerous and banns them. As far as launching stuff.. It'll be t shirts in public. In private, NOYB.

The gun that the soldier is holding looks absolutely amazing. I mean, even if the gun was worthless you just KNOW that a bunch of 19 year old kids would just love to run around with one of those things. It has to be the coolest looking non pellet gun type airgun I have ever seen

This is really cool that home made air guns are getting interest from the military. I always though of the military as our inspiration but looks as though its the other way around.

@boom_o_matic_2.0: Can you avoid using the word weapon? It might have some appropriateness in this case specifically, but it's not a term that's ever particularly good to bandy about on a site like this. The implications (even if, in rare cases, correct) are undesirable and something I'm sure most of us would rather weren't made.
Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?
