do you HAVE to use primer on a pneumatic, on my combustion i didnt use primer i just cleaned where i was going to weld/glue or what ever you call it.

you dont have to but the chances of the joint failing are huge. i did a tedt with a length of 2" pipe and 2 end caps they held 280 psi easialy with primer and poped off without it at 160 psi.

the botton line is just use the primer. paint is cheaper than having to build the whole thing over again. you may get away with it on a combustion but don't risk it on a pnumatic

wait did you buy cement designed to be used with primer or glue

i bought "Marley "white" uPVC solvent welding cement"
the guy at the shop said you dont need to use primer but it doesnt say that on the "toothpaste like tube" it comes in

just use the primer to be safe. it cant hurt
