Damn faulty valve

the schrader valve on my nerf sniper packed it in. when ever i remove the bike pump after filling my cannon the rubber schrader valve lets all the air out. i have 2 options: 1 cut my chamber and put a new cap and schrader valve on, 2 fix it (i would prefer to fix it with out cutting apart my cannon)

First try this... Look down the top. You will see a pin and a flat bar. Sometimes the flat bar gets loose so it just needs screwed in...

I had this problem before and that was all it needed to be fixed...

If the valve core is bad, they are replacable. Any auto parts store or tire shop has them. They are cheap.

i fixed my valve im going to go put more holes in card board now (from 40 feet away)

Tech, they are also at walmart, the remover tool and 4 new cores come with it for <$3

k i fixed it for now but after 5 or 10 shots the stupid flat bar comes loose and makes my valve leak. can u glue it in place with lock tight or JB weld?

Get a new valve stem and core remover for 3 dollars.

They are at some walmarts, at my close one there arent any but I saw them at anothe rone so you gotta get lucky.

Some valve caps have the wrench built into the top of the valve cap. They are even cheaper. Might even already have one on your car or bike.

Interesting, I think they had one of those at Ace in the same drawer as the normal 1/8" schraders. I'll check it out...

Better idea.... dont use a valve from an old tire.... u can get a 1/4'' threaded metal schrader valve for like... 3 bucks at most hardware stores.

Then, they simply thread into your gun... and if it actually does break... unthread it and replace it.

I never used unthreaded schraders, every one I've bought was threaded and I've never had a problem.

ive never looked for threaded schraders before but i see how that has the advantage over the unthreaded rubber ones if it breaks or something. il look in to getting one for my next project (a golfball semi or a marble/paintball semi)
