1.5" IMC conduit has an ID of 1.7" Golf ball has diameter 1.68". Mcmaster part #: 7385K75

$30 for 10', but it ships freight.

Sch 10 Aluminum is actually cheaper.

Insted of expoxying fittings to the EMT what about using push connect or compression fittings? It would be more expensive but would provide a stronger joint

Gatorbite or Sharkbite push connect fittings that are able to be used on copper, pvc,PEX, and steel pipe. If the outside diamiter of the emt is the same you could use the sharkbite fittings on the emt.

not exactly, they seal with an o ring around the pipe and lock onto the pipe with teeth inside the fitting, to release the fitting you need a seperate tool, a clip that goes around the pipe that you push toward the fitting to release it.
