hi i was wondering if this would work for a semi-auto gun. the 3 way valve is a mead MV-10. info sheet for valve -->http://www.mead-usa.com/products/media/ ... itches.pdf
it would be hooked up with the pilot of the qev to port 2, and the air source on port 3. port 1 would be the exhaust.

would this setup work? the idea is that when the trigger isnt pulled, air flows from the source to the qev, and when you pull it, it flows from the pilot of the qev out an exhaust port.
also, if this doesnt work, what would an alternative be? Also, is there another way (the valve is $20, and with a QEV it would be ~35)

Dude... this method has been used like a hundred times... lol. Yes, it will work, but you still need a loading mechanism.

do you know if theres a cheaper one than the MV-10. Its $20 plus $10 shipping, and i really dont feel like paying 30 bucks for an air valve

Look on Ebay. There are some for 15 bucks. Or you can make one...

that would work JSR, but the reason that i wanted the three way valve was so that no air would leak out when i held down the trigger. with that method, if i pulled the trigger, air would flow out of the gas feed, and that would waste air (which is important to me because i dont have a HP system that i can use)

Standard blowguns can be modified into 3 way valves.

Have you considered a "valveless/pop-off" system? You'd get no air wastage whatsoever and all you'd need is a blowgun ;)
