No way. The old members there who have put all of their time and effort in here aren't gonna want to go back, I think.

This is true here. Not that I can say I've put in much time or effort, really, but I think SpudFiles is the De Facto forum for the subject since the SGTC went down.

I could see it getting a decent following. In my experience different forums have different personalities some just like the feel of one forum over another. I am a member of a couple different forums of the same topics and prefer some over another just because of the collective personality of the forum. I'm not saying spudfiles isn't great, just people might like it better.

I feel like the spudding community hardly has enough to keep this forum thriving, so spreading the few active members we have between two sites would ruin both forums

Was that the original Spudtech logo? It looks like someone told their 10 year old that they needed a golden bird doodle done in paint.

It's not going to get off the ground as a serious forum unless it can borrow a lot of members from Spudfiles.
It might attract a few people with a bit of knowledge because of Spudtech's position in the search rankings, but without the experience which Spudfiles has a good monopoly on, I can't really see it being more than a load of newbies swapping bad ideas.

Of course, it's guaranteed to get off the ground as complaints central...
Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?

Well, that's what I remember from reading there occasionally - all the "Where's my order", "My X arrived and isn't working" and such like.

We even got a few of those threads during the short-ish period after the STGC forums were taken down while there was a redirect over here.
