I am looking to buy a 1" sprinkler valve. I am trying to create a mad caddy/zooka style cannon. None of the stores around my area seem to have one so if you have any spares please let me know. By the way I have paypal.

Long Link This one would work right? Would I be able to mod it using the guide in the how to section? I would think so but that big black thing at the top seems like it would prevent it from being moded (not the solenoid.)

hm, not really, check the phone book it should be fairly easy to mod, i'd say just take out the flow controll, and tap the hole there

What about these 2? which one would be easier to mod? The toro looks like it has a guide rod, but I dont know what that is so I dont really know. The reason they are both from ace is because there is an ace near where i live.

the rain bird is the one u want from thoughs two. it should be easy to mod, just put the mod hole on the side of the manual bleed valve instead of right on top, or maybe u could take out the manual valve and put the blow gun in its place.

Does the blowgun on a modded sprinkler valve have to be hooked up to an air source?

Nope, you fill through the chamber.

Yeah I just thought that the blowgun would have to have air running through it to open the sprinkler valve. Guess not, thanks for the help.

No problem. You want to exhaust the pilot through a blowgun, not fill it, because it won't fire. ALthough I've never thought of it, could you fill a sprinkler valve through the pilot, similar to a QEV?

you could, though you would need to do it REALLY slowly because otherwise you might tear the phragm, or it owuld vibrate and air would just go out the barrel
