The MAPP is injected into the meter pipe to the desired PSI and then released into the chamber by pushing a push button valve that lets it flow through a check valve under the chamber.
The oxygen wasn't metered for the videos. I used a purging method to simply fill the chamber with pure oxygen while expelling air from it. Then 5x worth of MAPP was injected. This is an excellent way to waste tons of O2, so once the gun is finished with its revisions there will be an actual oxygen gage that lets you fill the chamber with pressurized oxygen rather than purging for a more accurate mixture and without wasting oxygen.

I bet those Bernzomatic O2 cylinders are pricey. Maybe investing in a couple of medical O2 cylinders and finding a local medical supplier would be cheaper?

There is a praxair retailer where I live, and they will refill welding and medical gas cylinders, but I think it would probably cost even more than disposable o2. Are medical cylinders pure o2?

medical gas will always cost ALOT more, it has much tighter regulations.
