Just a few pics of the launcher I made my son. Chamber is 40 inches of 2 inch pvc 40, barrel is 36 inches of 1 1/2 sdr 21, barrel sealing piston valve, 1 1/2 inch porting piloted by a 3/4 inch qev, piston is made out of a 1 1/4 coupling plugged and a o ring, barrel has a hop up! Also has a pressure gauge but you cant see it in the pics. All pipe and fittings are pressure rated! Shots were done at 80 p.s.i. with golf balls from a measured 25 feet away and plywood is 3/4 inch thick. Yes, thats Matty Junior!! Also notice the holes we blew through the shed behind him, lol!

Very nice, compact cannon. It sure is powerful for its size! The other kids must be jealous. While they're out shooting their Red Ryders, your son is lobbing stuff into the stratosphere.

Since the cannon has a hop up, what kind of ammo are you using?

Good stuff, nothing like blowing holes in stuff for a bit of father-son bonding :)

There stands a happy kid! Bring-um up right, with a cannon in his hands...

If you have the space, paint a bulls eye on that board and start putting some range in there. Just a thought.

This is a golfball cannon. I just edited the description. It has a sdr 21 1 1/2 inch barrel, so you should have figured that out. The hop up puts a mean backspin on the ball. Its funny you said that about the red ryder. We were walking through the front yard and another kid was driving by on his bike and just stopped dead in his tracks and was just staring at the cannon. My son, a wise ass like myself, says to the kid, hey kid bet you wish you could shoot this bad boy! I just laughed. @ jsr, that shirt does look a little big, possibly a epoxy hem is in its future! :D I have been a pretty popular Dad since building cannons and finding Spudfiles! 8)

Why do I get the feeling that I have seen your kid before? I dunno, maybe I met him once on my trip up north a couple years back. Nice damage, but maybe try a special round at night? Try drilling out a golf ball, shoving a glow stick in, and launching it at night with no hop up.
