0.5" means 1/2"

ok thanks <3 so 0.25 is 1/4". although Thread type? bsp-npt,,,Brian the brain wrote:0.5" means 1/2"

Actually, if the thread's diameter is 0.5", it isn't any NPT or BSP thread. Also, if the thread's outer diameter is a meaningful quantity without any other qualifier, it isn't a tapered thread at all, but a straight thread.
The closest pipe comes to having a 1/2" diameter is 1/4" BSP pipe, which is .531" external diameter (plus or minus some tolerance, of course). 1/4" NPT pipe is a close second, at 0.540".
This site doesn't offer enough specifics on the thread to display any hint of knowing what they're talking about. I wouldn't recommend doing business with them.

I buy all my pneumatic parts from Airline Pneumatics.http://www.airlines-pneumatics.co.uk/
Here are there pressure relief valves. Cost around £25. http://www.airlines-pneumatics.co.uk/we ... de=S070140
