Ive been playing around with the idea of a combustion where the rounds hold the 1x mix and they get fed into the barrel from a mag. As they fall down, they come in contact with two electrodes. The trigger is pulled, the burst disk ruptures, and propels the chamber forward. The biggest problem I for see is that once a chamber is big enough to have decent power it will be to heavy.
That is all.

But if I remember correctly, those fire a separate projectile and eject the cartridge, but then again, I havent read the whole thread.
That is all.

You mean that the combustion chamber would be the projectile itself, like theBenelli CB M2?

Power would be very limited at 1x.

Your ignition idea reminds me of this that had been proposed on spudtech:

Exactly, but without the magic powder, it could possibly work as a hybrid but the weight of the chamber would limit power.
That is all.

... unless you make it an atmospheric pressure hybrid injecting oxygen as well.

Isn't even more annoying than cartridges regarding the amount of effort to get one shot ?

It seems quite likely that the projectiles/chamber would tend to get damaged beyond reuse on firing ?

Apart from that, sounds good you'd end up with a drag stabilised projectile too.

hmmm what about something like this??

Though it would require a high mix hybrid not a combustion
