all right, more questions. the drawing seems under dimensioned. are these assumptions accurate?

Alright so everyone can call me a moron forever, because I've clearly forgotten everything I learned about dimensioning.

SO, this one should actually be correct!! Take a look, made a couple changes, so let me know!

All right, knock on wood, those look good :D :D. We'll see if I change my mind again...

And don't beat yourself up over this. I was about to drill, then I realized the ambiguity . THAT would have been bad. Just like you usually don't get parts made by others from drawings, I usually don't' make parts from other people's drawings.

One thing to keep in mind for everyone who might be reading this: It makes things much easier if you call out all dimensions for a side from the top left corner as it would sit in the vise, and call out to the center of features like slots or holes. Depths are best called from the top of the part.

One thing engineers lack (or so I've heard) is an appreciation for how things are actually manufactured. This is not a rant, simply advice on how to become better engineers.

Ok Thanks for the feedback, as an aerospace engineer student I appreciate it!

Sorry I just think the grid makes it harder to understand.

I just realized that I could exit sketch mode and still see the drawn lines.

I agree that the grid is confusing, especially when the features are arbitrarily thrown on it.

Wait... My apologies, I thought the gray lines were the automatic grid that can be toggled with F7 but they're just lines you drew :? I'm an idiot! Carry on

Thanks for the clarifications ramses, lets go with a normal end mill square.

I just now got home finally so I'll post the new drawings of the rod in about 15 minutes.

no; you're correct.
there are the grey grid lines (that for some reason wont go away with f7) and grey dimension lines.

I should have exited sketch mode (which gets rid of the useless and confusing grid lines)
