My advice would be to save your money for when you need it.

Who gets to look after it while your gone...seismic isn't a "stay at home" or "home at night" kind of job.

My son has one and he has built a tank.

A long term commitment

All you need is a few sticks or branches for them to climb on. I feed mine about 30 live crickets once a week. Put them in the bath tub every other week or so in luke warm water. I use a heating rock and a red light bulb. If hes cold, he will go on the rock, if hes not he will stay away from it. How big is it?? Below is a link of a few pics of mine with the first barrel sealer I made!!

Jesse, they bite, and they won't stop biting. Make sure you wash your hands throughly before handling them, otherwise they'll get diseases, and they'll bite your hands, they like tasting things.

Matty's look like they're about a foot long, and I'd have at the very least a 3 foot tank. They'll want flat sunning rocks under the lamp, plenty of water, rough climbing rocks, sticks, a hollow stick or arrangement of flat rocks to sleep under. A terracotta pot would work if there's room for them to get under.

On the side bar this topic appears as "Has anyone had a bearded..."

I keep expecting a different topic.

No offense, but if you have to ask a potato cannon forum how to look after an animal you shouldn't really get one in the first place.
Just like making your own cannon, do some research on how to look after then properly and keep them healthy.

Ive got one. Chicken wire is not a good choice. They like to lean against the sides of their enclosure and will get cut up. The way I have mine set up is a 40 breeder for now. I run a 65 watt light in a hanging dome on one side. I have a 40 watt in a dome on top of the screen on the other. My UVB bulb is a 24 inch repti-sun 10.0. I suggest this bulb. It works better, in my opinion that the mercury vapor one you will see. As for biting, it depends on the animals. Saying they do or dont bite is like saying dogs do or dont bite. Ive heard of friends being bitten but Ive only been bitten by mine when I was hand feeding him. If you are going to build an enclosure, avoid pine or cedar, they are dangerous to reptiles.
That is all.

So, in conclusion, if you cant build your own cannon, that actually works, dont get a beardie!!!!
