So.. just asking guys opinion of this airgun sketch up look up the image and comment if i should improve or change, etc. something and it would work maybe great as a schrader pilot if i put a thin rod for the valve needle.

- THIS IS another pilot sketch up and READ the text in the pic. sorry for the black disorder in the text 2, there was a wrong word

well in the upper diagram the idea is so ''under construction'' so thats all in it. I wont probably finish the idea but look at the lower idea that is almost finished
The lower idea will work just fine, make sure there's enough room to fill the launcher, so the trigger has to move backwards a fair bit.
I still don't get the first image, is it a balanced piston? Where's the sealing face?

as you see in the trigger there is a screw as a hinge and in same time the screw holds the trigger in place, the screw could be screwed off before pumping, giving space for the pumping apparatus, but after all this idea has a lot of room to improve, and i need the opinion of you guys. :violent2:

Both of the designs will work well. The one with the schrader valve cant be very big because a schrader valve is only a good pilot for really small piston valves. The one that you say shouldn't be finished is actually probably your best bet. Here's a link to another person who built one (it's called a balanced spool valve) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAossoHCu8E

potatoenemy17 post a cross section of a spool valve i might build a spool valve airgun even though id more like to make a coax airgun...

That statement is a lie. If your piston has close enough tolerances, you can pilot a piston as big as you want with a schrader.PotatoEnemy17 wrote:The one with the schrader valve cant be very big because a schrader valve is only a good pilot for really small piston valves.

yes the statement is a lie the small size of schrader doesnt mean it couldnt be used on big pistons
but guys i would even more need real help, if possible dont just argue but try to help me

if your have a check valve piston so no chamber pressure gets back yes you could use a schrader valve wouldn't be very efficient but will work.iloveairguns wrote:yes the statement is a lie the small size of schrader doesnt mean it couldnt be used on big pistons

@ WarHead052 Sure you "can" pilot a large piston with a schrader valve, but if you are looking for performance, power, or good range you probably should use a bigger pilot, And everyone knows that only JSR can get a piston as good as you describe

yea but im building a mini coax airgun so the schrader should be used im not gonna make a spool valve and what the heck is JSR

Ah, but JSR has spread the gospel and made it so that all peoples can make tight tolerance pistonsPotatoEnemy17 wrote:And everyone knows that only JSR can get a piston as good as you describe
