I started building a large 1'' pop off valve a couple days ago. I'll probably use it to make a full auto(QEV + pop-off) gun. The input is 1/2'' PVC. The piston is washers on a bolt with some rubber on the sealing face. I'm currently using a compression spring behind the piston. I have not glued this together yet so I have not done high pressure tests. I need to buy some more parts first. One problem I have is the compression spring only gives like 4 pounds of force which is not much. And yes I got the idea from JSR.

Questions, comments, or suggestions are welcome.

Hey buddy is this a similar concept to the design with a QEV and the release gun (Sprinkler gun, Blowgun ) with a pilot on the end .. if so how do you make it fully automatic, with the QEV and the piston . ?

Hadn't seen this, looking good! Consider using an air spring if a coil spring doesn't have the cojones.
