hi
on a muzzel loader the gas of the percussion cap reach the blackpowdwer for ignition.. right?
what is if the gas was forced via a check valve, into a hybrid chamber. do you think it will work? what is a possible material for the seal of the check valve?

If your figured out how to seal it in, it could work. But I don't think it provides any benifit over a proper sparkgap or 2. And that costs an extra $0.10-$0.15 a shot.
no benefit over a spark gap. but it is for a musket style rifle and it woukd be really cool... maybe it could work with toy gun caps? target is to ignite 5-10x hybrid. and in case of flobert the pressure in the hybrid chamber will rise very high.<-power incrase?

I linked to that topic because Petitlu tried cap ignition but without success, drop him a private message and he might give you better advice about his experiences.jean wrote:sorry but i now know all about tungsten and so on but no help for my answer.
PTFE deforms over time, you will need to replace it after a lot of use.need a proper sealing face maybe ptfe? any special design ideas for the valve?
