Hey there,

This is my first topic on spudfiles :)

I'm trying to build an airsoft sniper;

The connections are 3/8''. I use a 3 way 2 port valve to pilot the QEV.
So it's semi automatic, and the barrel is 7mm, unfortunately no 6mm :/
I guess my chamber is kinda good for bb's, please comment if it's not right :)
I've weld my own air tank, and am able to charge it to 15 bar max with my pump or compressor ( tire valve )
Thanks to Wyz2285 for this awesome idea for qev and 3 way valve.
I'm pretty stuck with the trigger, made a wooden sample. It's too big and unhandy
The idea was that i'll make a wooden stock with grip to use the trigger valve.
I have actually no idea what kind of magazine I should make, but I've some ideas for loading the bb.
Also the ball detend is a pretty hard thingy to make it functional :S
Look at the picture for some usable information.
Really apreciate if you have some comments for me, so I can go further with building my gun :)

When something isn't really clear, just comment and I'll explain it explicit!

Goodluck with helping me!

if you want it to be a sniper, you probably want to shoot long range and there is no way to do it with that pipe. and i suggest a fridge compressor for at least 30 bar. any how i think this setup works fine for multishoot with regulated pressure,

Unfortunately this is critical, you will lose a lot of accuracy and power too.

Yup, I am going to buy a Paintball tank with pressure regulator, but can't find any small regulators that goes to a low pressure of +/- 10 Bar. I guess my 3 way valve can't have alot of bar unfortunately :(

I own a handpump that can go to 15 bar, and a huge compressor which goes to 9 bar max.

I was thinking about getting an fire extinguisher and modify it with a pressure regulator to connect on my airgun whith push to connect fittings. Good idea? let me know.

And I'm going to order a new barrel of 6mm to have more accuracy with my bb's :)

Please reply for more help, It would be very nice and useful for my ongoing project ^^

you could make a barrel breach after the qev and use custom made ammunition with a 6 mm steel bb and a wax body like I saw on someone on this site. Just an idea .. :P
You could also manufacture your own projectiles from lead or even use 7mm steel ball bearings, your choise
P.S.
are those pneumatic valves ? if so, don't raise pressure, or else they will fail, the max operating pressure is 10 bars for pneumatic valves

try finding a paintball tank with a built in regulator, and you can manually adjust the output pressure for your own needs (there is a youtube video in which it's explained how you can lower the output pressure from 30 bars to less)
I'm glad to hear you decided to change the barrel to a 6mm one. it should be OK for an airsoft sniper(I said airsoft=>not much power)

@ Bladeul,

Thanks for the usable tip to manually change the output pressure ( didn't know that )

Let's find it out on Youtube somewhere :P

I'll get a 6mm barrel somewhere. Hope I'll find a double layered for more durability (:

Little guess that it will have alot more power than with a 7mm haha

I'll let ya know when there's made some progress!

Pardon my French:

Kijk hier anders even:
http://www.mattech.nl/index.php?page=pr ... ntluchters

@Brian the brain

Thanks for your advice for the hammer valve.

Looking forward to make a hammervalve with my qev attached.
first I need some inspiration (and it has to be semi-auto)

Hope you'll have great ideas for hammer valves

nice concept for the gun.
if you wanted to make a few alterations to positioning, it could be more gun like and allow for a better trigger with the 3/2 valve.

1 the 90 elbow between the QEV and 3/2 should be straight
2 the 3/2 should have the button down, a trigger can now be added with a pivot point to the top left allowing pullback to be transferred to upward motion.
3 swap the schrader valve and air tank positions that will allow the tank to be used as a stock.

hope this helps, this is the way that i have built 2 fully functioning semi auto C02 rifles. any other questions let us know

Does the 3way 2 port valve operate in a similar way to what a slide valve does?

How do you fix your tire valve to the fitting enabling you to screw into the gun?

if you have the correct 3/2 valve normally open, then yes otherwise the gun will fire on the release rather then the pull of the trigger.

sorry, my mistake by the picture, i meant the fill valve under your tank to swap positions

I understand your alteration instructions except for the second part of step 2 (trigger can now be added with a pivot point to the top left ). top left of what?
