Been a while since I was into PCPs, now I see things like selective fire PCPs shooting pellets instead of just 4.5mm steel BBs.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBvs8Wvu0yg
Is this just iterations of the Huben full auto PCP? Hows the main mechanism work?

Look who's still active :D

The Mordax is "hammerless", my understanding is that the internals are very close to the Huben

Figured so! I found some animations for the Huben but I'm sure you have a better understanding of it than me? The Huben seems to not have a bolt nor nozzle? Just oring seal on both sides of the mag?

Correct, it fires directly from the magazine. In fact one difference between the Mordax and the Huben is that the former has a removable magazine, reportedly this leads to air loss on firing because it does not seal as well.

Oh so Huben uses a fixed magazine? So much for pellet chambering depth and such. 2k dollars for a plinker lol
Came across your full auto blow back 4.5bb gun on GTA, I suppose that can be refined into a selective fire version with a more complex trigger group. What's the power you were getting? And how many shoots per fill?

I've seen mixed reports on accuracy, some people are getting good results.

Indeed, and if you want something ready-made there are plenty of paintball marker trigger groups that would do the job just fine.

I never measured shots per fill but it was certainly more economical with air than a BBMG :D

Velocity was limited to below 500 fps for legal reasons but it was capable of much more. Need to make a larger caliber variation at some point.

You're absolutely right—PCPs have leveled up in recent years. That vid you linked? Yep, that’s part of a growing wave of selective fire PCPs (think semi/full auto) that don’t just spit out BBs, but full-on diabolo pellets with serious accuracy and punch.

many of the new selective-fire / full-auto PCPs you see (pellet-firing, selectable semi/auto) are conceptually descended from earlier commercial full-auto PCP platforms (Huben among them), but there are multiple makers and distinct implementations.
