heres the deal guys i have a bunch of wood and nothing to do with it, so i figure ill make a weapon out of it, a polybolos. a polybolos is a weapon developed by the romans, it was the "machine gun" of the time, it was more or less giant rapid fire crossbow. i have ran into a problem however, i cant seem to find a decent picture of the thing. im sure i must be calling it the wrong thing or something i cant imagine that there isnt one recreation of the thing or even a decent description of it. i only know it exist because i saw it on tv one time, but there wasnt much about it. so, can someone help me find a picture of this dam thing?!?!
Dude! the thing is awesome, try this link.

Omg, that would be totally, ahhhhh, horribly,,,,,,hard to build. You could look at some of the other catapults on the site, such as the ballista, I would try that personally.
But, if your into a challenge, TRY IT! AND POST PICS!!!!!!!!!

What exactly is the chain for, is that what is connected to the drawstring and loading system? Can somebody clear that up for me.

the chain is what used to pull back the bow string/firing mechinism, as the firing mechinism is pulled back a rod which fits into the spiral grove carved in the roller (the roller is part of the loading mechinism)slides along the grove rotating the roller which drops a single bolt into the "barrel", as it is pull back alittle more the bolt along with the firing mechinism is "fired" and the whole process starts over again.
Dude, why does it make you have to scroll sideways, I can see the whole thing just fine, but if it makes you guys happy, I'll get rid of it.
NOW I WILL DO IT.
Edit: JEESH, what moderator put that on my post about the link?
That was meen.
