Strafer fully auto bb gun animation

Yea so if anyone out there is wondering how those strafer guns work here is a small animation that I made in a couple minutes of how it works. There usually would be more bbs in the tee that surrounds the whole vortex and stuff but I took them out so that you could see the vortex and how the bbs flow out the barrel:

Nice animation for the old vortex block type of strafer.

But the new cloud kinds are supposed to be cheaper, easier to build and more reliable

well basically the bbs are just all sitting around this little block called hte vortex, what it does is when the air is blown in threw the bottom it makes any bbs that are in the vortex black at the time spin around and sometimes they get shot out of the barrel, the ones that don't get shot out will usually spin around a couple more times and then shoot out. as long as you have enough bbs and enough air pressur this thing will go forever, unless you get a jam, thats if it is not properly build and mor then one bb gets in the barrel opening at a time, thus, they get jammed and you have to stop for a second and shake it, but like the other guy said, the cloud versions are a lot more reliable, cheaer, and easier to make too. look those up if you don't understand this.

thanks for the explimation it makes alot more sense do you know of any other designs for a automatic BB gun because that seems like you would waste alot of BB's and there would be a constient flow of BB's either. what is the Cloud Version and how does it work

well basically a cloud BBMG (bb Machine Gun) is just a small resouvor (sp?) half valve full of bb, like imagine a 20 oz. soda bottle on its side ok? well it would be filled with bbs until half full, then a bluwgun or the such would be attached to the bottom part of it (the side of a soda bottle if it is laying down) and a small hole would be drill in the cap of the bottle, in this you would stick well, a barrel. What happens is that when you make a flow of air into the chamber with the bbs the flow comes from under neith them, so naturally they fly around inside of the chamber, the air then exits out of the barrel, and bbs will just get randomly sucked out the barrel, when you look at it firing the bbs inside the bottle look sort of like a cloud, thats why it is called that.
