What valve?

Cannons powered by pneumatic pressure (compressed gas) using a valve or other release.

i made this gun that is loosly based on the old marshmellow gun desighn except i have a detatchable air tank it would work realy nice except i an find and valve for half inch pvc thats not a ball valve i looked up solinoid and butterfly valves and cant find any for small diamiter pvc. i sort of know how piston valves work but i dont know how i could make one or even use it same for QEV

Well I have seen 1/4 " sprinkler valves around here, but I think they would be expensive. What is wrong with a ball valve?

Piston valves are really not difficult at all, look around, there's designs floating here and there.....

another question is there such thing as a 1/2" pvc sprinkler valve cuz i havent seen one anywhere

no i think ill just go with a ball valve no others go down to 1/2" and im still a bit confused about the piston valve beacause i alredy made the tank part so idk if i can still add that kind

I have seen QEV's and they are the most powerful valve you can have before you have to make a piston valve. They litterally open instantly and can have a trigger like a gun. Go wo www.mcmaster.com and type in qev and look under pnumatic section and you will see what i mean. they cost just as much as ball valve (for 1/2 inch anyway) and are litteraly 200% better and more powerful.
