this is a recent 25 psi shot using a ball bearing at 100' with the swat gun.

the intercooler is about 3.5 inches thick, and is very densely packed.

the aluminum is equivalent to over an inch thick piece of aluminum.

How can that be compared to the same strength as a soild piece of aluminum?

well, I dont mean the strength. I mean the aluminum, If flattened, would be a little over an inch thick.

the penetration is still quite good, considering the distance, pressure, and the thickness of the target.

you cant hardly put a sharpened metal pole through one of these, even when you pound it with a sledgehammer.

I mean, it was a hundred feet away.

I agree with Showno Mercy.You can crush it with your thumb.I used to get in trouble as a kid for crushing the vanes.

yes, you can bent the first layer, or outer edges.


try hitting it with a hammer, it wont do anywhere near that.

the aluminum builds up, and gets proportionatly harder to compress, so by half way through, it's like a block of compacted aluminum.

frank ,I will shoot it at some 1/8 inch steel at about 80 psi. it will penetrate.

wo thats awesome...do u have a 1 inch barrel now?? what size is that ball? maybe i jsut think its small
4" piston valved cannon-half done..( i spilt my cement...)

Hybrid- 75% done. need to build propane holder and drill/tap sparkplug hole..
