piston in a cross?

Cannons powered by pneumatic pressure (compressed gas) using a valve or other release.

hi guys... i was wondering if u could have a piston inside of a cross instead of a tee? i think it would work and u could have 2 chambers or something without using a tee.... i wont try it because u cant gget tees around here but i wanted to get ur input...

oh and i will be posting a modified fire extinguisher handle that u can use as a pilot... i think i might use it on my newest qev gun to see how it works out... oh and btw if anyone still thinks that they have less flow than a blowgun they are completely wrong.. this has so much flolw that when i blow into it is like blowing through a 1/4 fitting it is like a automatic hole...
4" piston valved cannon-half done..( i spilt my cement...)

Hybrid- 75% done. need to build propane holder and drill/tap sparkplug hole..

This thread i'm linking you to is about wooden pistons. On the 2nd page you will find my post, the pics show my wooden piston. The link in my post labeled "Action" is of my cannon, "The Basterd". I beleave it's not only the 1st wooden piston, but i think it's the 1st piston valve built into a cross.

Yea why wouldnt it work? It may work better now that it would have equal pressure on both sides of the piston.

Yep, a bunch of cross pistons have been made in the past. I have considered it, but decided not to. You really do not get greatly increased performance from such a setup. It is much more advantageous to build two pistons valves and have them dump into a larger tee; it gives much greater flow and power too.
