bbq ignighter dosnt always work

i got a bbq ignighter on my spud gun but a few weeks it stop working all the time it shoots once then it stops then i have to wait like 5 min b4 it will spark again ive tryed all differnt type of screws and the ignighter is only 1 month olddo you guys know whats going on with it?

You probably knocked it a little and the wires IN the sparker came loose. Just check the wiring or get a new one. They also wear down, so it gets less reliable as you use it. I go with something more reliable, I use camera flash ignition.

bbq lighters suck,theyre too unreliable.

they work fine for me, its all too common that the person putting the wiring together put the two leads too close together on the clicker itself and the spark is now jumping the end of the bbq ignitor not the screws in the chamber. Remeber that bbq ignitors go on electrical resistance. Wherever the easiest spark path is, the spark goes. I dont typically reccomend using a double spark gap on anything else but a stun gun ignition.

I have a bbq on mine and it works fine, if it doesn't work, it's usually because I have too much fuel in the chamber. But once I get the propane to air ratio right, it works every time.
