Not huge, but good size for a personal show. I usually get quite a few 2" mortar shells, and I've found that there are some little shells that give pretty good bang for your buck, so I get quite a few of those and various rockets and stuff. Other people bring fountains and other items.
I think I'll have 8 of the large mortar tubes setup and at least 8 of the small tubes, and then a flat platform where I can link up other various fireworks.
Since you are really close to them they are just as good, if not better than the professional shows IMO.
Last year I rigged up stuff by buying a bunch of fuse and linking everything together, but that is time consuming and your timing is dependent on how close you can gather everything together, and it was a pain to keep the smaller fireworks from falling over.

Also, the wires inside of twisty-ties work quite well. i came across this one day..... wont say how but it ignited my rocket quite well. try those, they are also reusable, however they only last like 15 "pulses" untill they stop actually allowing current to flow.
