If you have 2 guns, one is a piston valve (Barrel sealling gun), and the other is a sprinkler valve/w blowgun (modded), both with the same size air chamber and same size barrel and with the same bullet and size of it.
Which is gonna be the loudest/powerfulest/and strongest???

THANKs Y'ALL!!!!!!

to put it nicely. the piston valve will kick the shit out of the sprinkler valve.

The piston will win hands down, it will dump more air faster and therefore accelerate the projectile quicker, meaning it will be stronger and "powerfuler" - and also, air will exit the muzzle at higher pressure therefore the report would be louder.

here is a nice power comparison for you.

I.E.- piston wins big time.

I believe it was said that the flow from a sprinkler valve was equivalent to the flow of that from a 9/16" hole. With a piston valve, the flow is much higher. Maybe equivalent to the flow of up to a 1-1/2" hole. 8)

This is an easy decision, just use both- the sprinkler valve to pilot a piston of the same size!

I think that sprinkler valves are able to open up much faster than piston valves, because they have a lightweight diaphragm which only needs to flex instead of a heavier piston which needs to slide backward. However, the flow of a sprinkler valve is much less than the flow of a piston valve of similar size. I think that for a 1/2" barrel and lower, a sprinkler valve will be able to beat a piston valve. However, anything higher than that, and the piston will win easily.
