(the dark green tube not labeled in the diagram is 1/4 300psi bit of air hose)

hey thx for all the pics experament-u2 they helped me understand how a piston works. now i can try to make one but i think mine will have a trigger release in the back. it will lock forward in the sealed position and spring loaded to open. maybe. anyway thx.

this is my second piston gun, my first was a little bb gun that rocked until the oring on my piston broke and iv being unable to find another one the same size (oh and yes that is 2 tee's epoxied together)
heres a pik of it without the trigger system on

well, jack has successfuly taken epoxie to 400 psi. but that was an itsy bitsy glob. i would guess you should be good around 80.jrrdw wrote:Open question --
How much pressure do you think the epoxie will hold?

Nice to see someone else veering away from standard parts and getting their hands dirty with epoxy, looking good U2
If I could make a suggestion though, this is how I put the seal on the barrel of my small 3/4" pistons (making another one at the moment
)
The diagram should be pretty much self explanatory.

the sealing face is on the barrel only, a bit like my pengun project.
My display picture is a pistol cartridge in a pill packet, made it from a photo entitled "sleeping pill".
