does anyone know if they sell 1/2 inch sprinkler valves i have seen 1 inch and 3/4 inch.

is a Quick Exhaust Valve better then a 3/4 inch sprinkler valve? would it be hard to make a 1/2 in piston?

I'd go with the 3/4 sprikler, oh and btw, you dont need a piston for qev.

I think he wants to know if it's worth the trouble to get better performance by building a 1/2" piston valve over just buying a QEV.

If you're looking for aesthetics, go with a piston valve. If made properly, they can look super sleek.

He never said that he needed a piston for a qev...

A 3/4 qev would outpreform a sprinkler valve, plus you wouldn't have to mod it.
And yes, if you know how, a piston valve would look good.
