Double Barrel (shotgun) Combustion spudgun

Well... i was on a big hunt for a BBQ ignition. But a person that works with me ( dont know the word for it, colleug or sometin? ) said they have them at a Caravan shop.

Today i made a f*ckin 80km journey for the igniters
And yes!! found them. so i Bought two of them. they where not that expensive about 7,- euro's.

so i got home, drilled holes put two screws in it. Connected the ignitor.

Stole a cucumber from my dad.. who wasnt happy that al lol.

Put a piece the the barrel, sprayd some butane in it. And firing it. !
And thats the first time that i hear the typical spudgun sound in real life

I dont know how far the pieces cucumber flew, but it was a nice flight i can tell.

So it works ! uses different lengtes of barrels, and my conclusion is that my calculation was not good. And need a bigger chamber next time

So this is working Now i need to get the fuel metering system right.
Purchased allready two ball valves.

One thing is for sure... this "hobby" is getting expensive :albino:

LOL, thats great to hear it works! My mom sh*ts herself when she cant find any potatoes!
Does it work every time for you?
I agree its expensive... but you should try mountain biking, way worse!

Sweet!! your first combustion, im guessin? Metered too! thats cool, mine is just a spray and pray upgrade. Where do u live to travel 80km for a stinkin bbq lighter? with gas prices these days, you coulda bought a stun gun!

Lol hehe... well later this day i bouht a couple cucumbers by my self
need to try a patato next time.

What do you mean does it works every time ? Well is does work frequently.
Sometimes there is to much moisterize in the chamber, so the spark fails.
Then i spray some butane in it.. light it so it gets hot inside Then it wil work again. And sometimes the mixture is not right, less or to much.

From the 10 shots it firs 7 or 8 without problems

biking makes me tired and its boring
but i know what you mean.. but still got tomany expensive hobby's.

This is my second ( first one was worse)
I live in The Netherlands. Over here we got different shops then what Americans have. Some products is hard to find. Like the white thick tube's that you see. Cant find them here.

When i tried making a combustion, it never really worked... Then i built a pneumatic and never looked back!

Nah, it would take some serious persuasion to take me away from my pneumatics! I guess I dont want to push it with my dad too, he doesnt like the whole explosions etc story, so I do pneumatics.

This cannon isnt dangarous. it shoots cucumbers like a finger thick.

Was searching in a big junk box. Founded a realy small fan like 1,5cm high.
think im going to test it in my chamber.

Nah, pneumatics are better than combustion in my opinion! (I just said that to make me feel better! )
I want to buy a compressor though.
