Not... then I'd have to carry the fridge pump and a battery. Thats not ideal when you already have 15 kilos on your back.

Overkill on the pressure - that thing can go to 200 bar, I only need 40-50. And if goes to such high pressure then you're gonna get very little volume. If you're going high pressure and higher volume you're better off making your own pump to suit your particular needs.

14mm home cast lead bullets, fired from a rifled spring loaded ball valve pneumatic (~450psi), met a cast iron plate at relatively short range (10-20m)
Bullets were about 20mm long before impact.

Your pancakes look better though.. When I shot sand I only got a mushroom and when I shot sheetrock all the "paddles" flew off in all directions..
I have never managed to thoroughly pancake a lead slug out of my pneumatic though. I only have access to 150psi :/

Err I'm not too sure, I haven't really done any measurements on that spudgun.
It really depends on how fast my ball valve is opening, im guessing 30-40ms max as I've never seen it taking more than one frame to open on video.
I just tried estimating velocity with ggdt, and it seems to predict 130-140m/s, but I could be way off as I don't accurately know chamber volume projectile weight, valve Cv or opening times
That seems quite low, especially compared to previous airguns I built, but I was noticing rather long flight times.
Damage on target is quite impressive but that might just be down to heavy stable projectiles.
Spudfarm those are massive !
Recoil must be considerable.
Nothing too interesting on video, I hope to get one done before next WE, but then after that I'm back off to the UK and won't be near any airguns for a while.

130m/s on a slug like that is very impressive. It is quite hard to get lead up to speed in a spudgun.
Try to make a box'o'truth and shoot with those slugs. That is a quite good way to compare your guns performance to, well any gun really
The slugs on the picture was fired from my hybrid (Currently mounted to a floor) so recoil is no problem. If you look at the hybrid thread: I am going to make new mounts for it, those I use now are horrible
Edit: if you want higher velocity you can bore out the back (Helps stability to) to reduce weight a bit. Doesn't look like you did that on those slugs.
