That's a heck of a lot of pr0n!

:D :D :D
So apparently, if I stand in the plumbing aisle browsing for more than five minutes, the store gets suspicious and they have to report you to the bomb squad. Really America. Really?!?
In a country where spending too much time in the toilet gets multi-million dollar fighters scrambled, are you honestly surprised?

That honestly does not surprise me. What gets me about my store run is that if I wanted to make a, "Pipe b***", as the manager said, I would have grabbed the few parts needed and left. They would not have known. Instead, I was casually piecing copper fittings together on the spot. I guess I can't buy plumbing without going on the Terrorist Watchlist. :bs:

Reminds me of this one:
The leaders of the big beer companies meet for a drink. The president of Budweiser orders a Bud, the CEO of Miller gets a Miller, the head of Coors orders a Coors, and so on... until it's Arthur Guinness's turn.

He orders a ham and cheese sandwich.

"Why didn't you order a Guinness?" everyone asks.

Guinness replies, "Well if you guys aren't drinking, then neither will I."
:)

I propose a new "Reality" show entitled "CELEBRITY SHARK FIGHTING". With a new, tasty Celebrity each week, the pay-per-view revenue would put the world economy in the financial black in short order!

I would prefer to use Arduino with a long range ZigBee module, the Arduino then releases a pack of rabid dogs and mangy foxes. :D

Bad mange on a fox is the worst smell I've encountered, mange seems the turn into wet leprosy after some time.

Glad I finished my snack before checking this topic :)

I think the shark celebrity thing would backfire. I think "ordinary" (then again, what's so special about celebrities) people would be lining up to get eaten by sharks just to get their 15 minutes.

Remove the oxygen of publicity and this thing will go away. Now that there's a self serving industry build around it and no shortage of consumers (hate to bring this up again, but *cough*women*cough* ;)), it won't.

Guys check out this

instead of using a generator, you can use this, plus its cheaper, and will run a small compressor!!!!! im def buying one, hooks right off of your car battery !!!! only 12v to power it

http://www.harborfreight.com/750-watt-c ... 66817.html

i am mainly getting to hook up to my truck to power my compressor for my gun , therefore i can shoot it in the field where i dont have power

tell me what you think!!!

You may need a more powerful than stock alternator, and you will need to idle the engine, but apart from that, you should be good. Car batteries are not designed to be discharged significantly; they make "deep cycle" batteries for that

Also, keep in mind that your compressor requires significantly more current than the continuous current to start, especially when the compressor is already partially pressurized.

I think that most compressors require at least 1.5kW continuous and probably around twice that when starting up

EDIT

Read his post again. Apparently he wants to hook it up to just one car battery

jsefcik
you might be able to use it to power a fridge compressor (possible an AC compressor if it is requires less than 750W)

However, something tells me that one battery will not be enough

EDIT #2
Interesting use of Arduino
lol how could I miss that :D

I wonder if one could use arduino to 'play' the 'inverted' sound of the shot whenever the trigger is pulled.... you know for phase cancelation
:D :D :D

dont have a fridge compressor,
my dad is an electrican, he said it will work just fine,

i believe an electrician i dont know about you guys

if my dad is wrong, im going to buy a small generator instead that puts out 7 amps!!!
