a quick tip: during the 3 times that ive made and remade mine ive found that it easier to take the next pipe size up and make a punch.(eg. i used brass, and the breech section ws 3/16 OD, so i used a 1/4 OD to punch a sealing face, and then used 1/8 [ my barrel OD] to punch another hole in the center)

yep, that's what I did too - take a section of pipe, chuck it in a drill and use a file to sharpen it - then simply place the sharp end over the rubber sheet on a soft surface and hammer away :)

Then that sort of makes sense.
If the heros were on the left, having the enemy firing right handed would involve hiding the rifle behind the body, which wouldn't look that good.

Also, IIRC, when game creators did stuff like this for some other games, then to save storage space they just flipped the images to save using twice (or almost twice) the space - but this would also flip the "handedness" of the image. But that only really applied if the avatar could be on both/multiple sides of the enemy.

And I was rather likely to notice it. I consciously create all of my spudguns with right-handed operation in mind (as does my brother) putting all the controls and gauges on the right hand side (also makes it easier to lie down on the ground).

But in the end, it's not important. I've got to stop my mind wandering off like that.

Interesting how to by the way. Death to fellow students!

Not the sort of thing you'd want to declare on a public forum in post VirginiaTech/Columbine times :? Besides, unless you can synthesise ricin, this is just another toy.

That's not quite what I meant, but no offense was intended to anyone.
I hope everyone knew roughly what I really meant...

A while back, I used to use my mildly powered coil pistol (under .5 ft lb muzzle energy) to shoot at other people in my class, which was quite fun. No harm done (and I often ended up electrocuting myself with the poor wiring).
Don't worry, my friends have come to expect that kind of thing from me now.

Disclaimer:
I do not promote attacking your peers with anything actually physically damaging. If you aren't prepared to shoot yourself with it, then don't fire it at anyone else.

I'm sure they did, but given the way teh 1ntarwab5 are easily misinterpreted, a disclaimer is always safe ;)

Bad news for your peers if you're into S&M :D

I made my pencil crossbows gadgets to battle in the classroom, only there isn't many obnoxious kids with rubber bands and wasp in high school so that all just hang out in my backpack I mainly shoot non-human targets now

now you need a remote refill system I think if you attached a tire chuck on the cap of a soda bottle you could use a low (heat) energy reaction like viniger (spl the spell check gave some bad sugestions that include one with an N) and baking soda or draino and aluminum foil, stuff like that while avoiding an amount that can burst the bottle

Its impossible to electrocute yourself more than once, because 'electrocution' means death by electric shock

Right now I'm having amnesia and deja vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before.
