To appease JSR, you could use a 55 gallon drum as a suppressor/silencer.

Done that with a friend who wanted to test firearms in his basement without disturbing the neighbours - 55 gallon drum, rubber sheet, some sand, worked a treat.

As to the APFSDS shot, it would appear that lateral forces on the sabot are causing it to bend creating friction which does not allow the sabot to separate smoothly....

ITWOST I figured out these so called ".38 caliber" slingshot ammo ball bearings are really .375"... Also known as 3/8" which would be much easier to buy in bulk from mcmaster's . But anyways, they sure are leaving nice clean holes in 3/4" pine @ 70 BAR

Well... The magazine hasn't worked out how I've hoped, it double feeds

This is a 1/4" QEV launcher with a PB 1/8" slide valve pilot. The only special thing about it is that it uses the detent from the pressure washer launcher from before I added the mag

Not making it pink will certainly make it more stable and resistant to damage

A longer looser lighter sabot might also help

Well, 1/4" QEV bodies can take 100 BAR, too bad the rubber diaphragm is not quite as strong; it blew a small crack right through the center.
