I don't watch television at all anymore, prefer to find a good collection of playlists on youtube. It might not be superultramegafinerthanrealityHHHHD but half the time I'm doing something else and listening only anyway.
Some good ones:
http://www.youtube.com/user/HoustonGD?blend=1&ob=4
http://www.youtube.com/user/ThePanzerWarMachine
http://www.youtube.com/user/TheNemeziss200#p/p
And a pet peeve if I can air it,
Dogfights.
Fućking awesome CGI, completely ruined by the heavy American bias, whose only losses in WW2 were 5 or so planes (41,575 actually lost) and none at all lost in Vietnam (2,251 actually lost), and along with the Israelis seem to be the only people who have ever flown combat aircraft.
The narrator is also needlessly dramatic.
Greatest Tank Battles is also visually amazing but similarly guilty, almost no US tanks were lost in the European theatre (5,066 actually lost).
When
R Lee Ermey does it though, it's acceptable in an "Oh grandad, you so crazy

" sort of way
I cannot at this point fail to mention Future Weapons - great material presented by a čunt. But of course you knew that already

hehe... does he also tell you about his experience as a 10-year veteran of the U.S. Navy SEALs, and that in his service tenure, he participated in numerous tactical operations with SEAL Team ONE and TWO, and while at SEAL Team TWO,he was attached to the training cadre as the Leading Petty Officer of Land, Mountain and Arctic Warfare?
I mean, certainly that's impressive, and this man could snap me like a twig, no doubt about it. But, from
an article about the SAS:
"I am looking for self-discipline, self-motivation, a bit of
ruthlessness, an even temperament, an average to above
average intellect, innovation, someone who is physically
and mentally tough, and a humble man."
Humble? "Humility is very important. An SAS
soldier doesn’t stick out in a crowd, but has the skills,
ability and leadership to take control of any situation."
The best special forces operatives are the ones you never hear about.

NZ SAS ftw
I think they still do a hostage training exercise with any newly elected prime minister who sits in a chair in the middle of a room. Can't remember if it is with live rounds but the goal is for the PM to be able to trust using the NZSAS in any situation.
Woodhill forest is about 20min from me, no idea training took place up there.

I was looking trough my photos on an old computer, and I found some youth projects
Small Thompson submachine gun replica, made it when I was 8 or 9 years old
I believe the stock broke off when I was playing with other kids, and was a bit too enthousiastic.
and hit someone on the head
A later project, I believe from when I was 13
Updated it a few years later..
Someone else has pics of what you churned out at a low age?

how little I knew then.

This is what I made when I was 16.
I'm now designing a piston hybrid. I want to use a system similar to
this, I want to fill it from behind the piston. As it looks now, it will have an opening pressure of 1.3 times the pilot pressure, and that's far to low in my opinion. I can gain a few hundred joules by upping the opening pressure.
Would a heavy piston work, by holding back more pressure because of the inertia?

Adding a spring sounds like a more sensible idea.

Can you change the ratio of the piston OD to the barrel seat OD? If you make the seat OD bigger, the opening pressure will increase.
That said 1.3x pilot pressure seems rather low. Can you post the diameters so we can check your math?

that's why I proposed an unbalanced QDV

ardupilot controlled UAVs for drug trafficking!!
http://diydrones.ning.com/profiles/blog ... Post:34517
why didn't I think of that
I have a great idea... it would require someone in the US to buy a gun for you, put it on ardupilot controlled version of this >>
and set the plane to drop the cargo at GPS coordinates you provided
WIN!!
EDIT
lol sorry I forgot that I posted in this topic mere 20 minutes earlier...
