Excellent :D and just 12 bar! Are you going to keep the magazine vertical as it is or throw in an elbow and have it in line with the barrel?

Yeah I am pretty happy with it but I want to run it at about 20bar, I can't take it Higher than that because the cover plate flexes and leaks. I'm going to replace it with a steel or aluminium plate, I think someone suggested that from the start

The mag will definitely be in line with the barrel just need to decide exactly how I'm going to do the elbow before I start hacking into my chunk of acrylic
Also mucked around with making nice long soft mag springs on my lathe, so I just need a long enough length of music wire to make a 90cm long spring :D

Hey guys, Well I have scraped the polycarbonate MkII due to a few issues with sealing at higher pressures and it is to much of a pain to work with. I have started working on MkIII, I will put up a new thread on it when I am finished. It will be all brass construction and be a lot more compact, here is a sneak peek at the MkIII KEV and Mag Block

That looks awesome. Was it all done on a drill press like the previous prototypes?

I can't wait to see that magazine in line with the barrel. :D

can you test this with .20g 6mm Airsoft BB's? I really really really really want to know what it chrono's at.

daberno123,
The brass was machined on my metal lathe, but there is no reason it could not be done on a drill press.

Davidvaini,
The only problem with that is Airsoft BB's are not available in Australia. my guess would be some pretty high fps, the 1.15gm steel BB's were doing about 500fps, and that was only at aout 12bar.

so 0.2 gram airsoft bbs will probably fly at over 1000 fps? that a lot of OUCH!

They may do, but probably not any higher with air, helium would probably get much better results with such light ammo.

are you think to try the gun with higher pressure
30 bars ?

Wow... I just realised how TINY that thing is... Thats way more compact than i thought. Great job on that machining.
