It is strange how we make jokes about not-so-intelligent people dying before reproducing (the Darwin Awards) and not-so-intelligent people reproducing more (Idiocracy). The two ideas seem to cancel each other out

The problem is that medical and social advances preserve the poorer genes and allow them to propagate more than they would have without external aid. The Darwin Awards reward those exceptional cases who manage to take themselves out of the gene pool regardless

Gee, how old were you when he was born/conceived? You're awfully young to have a kid if you can't even buy guns yet. Or is it that you're a convicted felon and can't purchase your own firearms?
