This on the site you linked looks pretty silly as well. Good luck parallel parking with that on the back.

Looks silly but the numbers are quite impressive. As to parking the builder claims:

Hard to park? No. The car + tail is only ~30 cm (12 inches) longer than a 2008 Toyota Camry (the most popular car in the U.S.), and shorter than a Ford F-150 (most popular truck). So it would easily fit in a normal parking spot.

You only say that because you live in the good ol' USA ($3.79/gallon). If you lived in the UK ($8.06/gallon) for example, the benefits would be more pronounced

There are many other places (France, Italy, Denmark, Belguim, Israel and Holland to name a few) where fuel is more than twice as expensive as it is in the US.
