The base is a breech loader that accepts single shells. This allows for a light, compact launcher that can be converted back and forth depending on the scenario. I figured that people could get in on the base and then upgrade to the semi version later if they weren't ready to spring for the entire cost at once. There are also upgrades for the barrels and chambers that will be out shortly after release.
