alright i just put the numbers in (600v 250uf 1ohm 1mH) the coil peaks at .75ms and drops at 1.5ms i will be adding a diode to each coil which should eliminate reverse emf. now at 100m/s the projectile will be traveling 4in every ms (roughly) so as long as i use a micro controller to time the last few coils it should work just fine. i bet i could get the desired velocity using only 5 coils though
