Yeah, but it's gotta be repeatable. I like the idea though, and like Fnord said before, I'd be more likely to get an A if I'm holding a sword. And we've got ceremonial swords for NJROTC... 
Yes, the quick-releases the MythBusters use are expensive. The ones I'm seeing cost anywhere from 190+ depending on load.
