yes, well can we please get back on topic?

.
A quick question.
What would the life expectancy of a sprinkler valve be?
Bearing in mind that the one I'm using is about 8 years old and i practically dug it out of the ground to get.(I had to clean it).

What I'd be concerned about it the integrity of the diaphragm, but as long as you keep it clean and lubed it should last you quite a few more firings.

Well that is what I'm also concerned about, so i unscrew the sprinkler valve and inspect and clean it regularly.
I just wanted to know the lifespan.

I'd say at least a few years if you keep it under 135psi.

well i do.
BTW, is that the actual rating for the sprinkler valve?

They are different between models. Mine is rated to 1mPa, which is 10BAR, which is 1000kPa, which is 100,000Pa which is 145psi

Cool, I might try and read the small writing on the side of the sprinkler valve and see what mine is.
I have never actually taken it up further than 70psi.
At 70psi it leaks slightly so i try to avoid going higher, besides you get enough carnage
