Pity we didn't get to see all the marines dive for cover, i thought it was going to explode in his face!

As far as I know it's fused in such a way that it has to travel a certain distance from the operator before it's armed and can explode. What happened in this case is that the launching charge fired but the rocket failed to ignite.

Looks like the result a lot of noobs would get out of their first cannons :D

The rpg arms itself with rotation or from the rocket charge burning? To answer my own question it could be either according to my research.

Edit: The proper term for an "RPG" is 'Ruchnoy Protivotankoviy Granatomet'
Meaning "Hand-Held Anti Tank Grenade Launcher.
Never Knew that!

Probably the latter as at maximum range (a bit less than a kilometre i believe) the warhead will detonate whether or not it hits something.

That is a sweet mockup so far. Two questions... The nosecone, what did you use? It looks familiar like I have seen sucha thing laying around but I can't quite put my finger on it.

Second, the fin design is super clean are those boughten fins or homemade? Can we get a closer/ detailed pic of those fins. They are perfect for lots of different kinds of ammo.

Anyway, post more pics once you get it painted up. Can't wait to see the finished job.
Trying to figure out how to make a SCUBA first stage regulator work for portable charging station. If only that pesky job thing didn't keep eating up all my time...
