When you go to America, take some time outside the big city. We could show you how to adjust the clutch on a tractor... or make squirrel traps out of coffee cans and coat hangers. Careful not to go out too far, though, somebody might think the British are coming all over again and they've gotta go run to fetch the minute-men.

Seriously, though, the U.S.A. is reasonably connected. If you come anywhere near Louisiana, (a southern state), PM me. I might be able to recommend a stop or two.

@ wannabie: Don't worry, I have solutions to my spudding dilemmas.

You know why there is always such panic about PVC shards in skin? They don't show up on X-ray...

No, I'm not quite daft enough to try taking that risk, but I'm taking a small coil gun with me, which can be dissassembled for transit through air ports, and the PVC watergun casing either won't be found, or if it is, half a plastic watergun is not a threat to security. I'll still send it through as hold luggage though.

If it was hand luggage, if an overzealous security guard spotted the silouhette, that might cause me trouble, so I intend to be a distance from it if it were to be found.

@Mark: One female british tourist counts as a decleration of war? I'll have to be careful.

You're coming to NZ? Well you choose the time right, though our weather doesn't get really hot till October-ish, and you missed the snow I think. Well i'm up in Auckland, you would probably go there considering its our biggest city, and the rest of NZ is practically a hole :P

Btw, You should go to Germany, they practically speak enough English in every major town. Cities, you'll be fine. But if you wanted a job, you could have some problems.

Edit: Just realised you may be in NZ around February, if so sign the petition in my sig and try get Iron Maiden to jump the ditch across to NZ for a concert, considering they're touring Aussie.

If she can't risk going to Germany because she doesn't know German, even though they know alot of English, I can see why she wouldn't risk France, don't get me wrong it's a great place, but the people I stayed with knew no English at all, only like the mayor and a few teachers from the town knew much. :P

Good thing I knew douche was shower in French even though I take German, my homestay made some funny hand signs while saying 'douche...douche' that could've gone bad.

I recomend a less suspious chammber probebly even a 2 or 3liter soda bottle as well since they are colapsable and have high volume bring lots of teflon tape for all the times you reasemble

Ah, you see, I've already been to France and Germany, and my trips already quite long and expensive anyway.

If I could add one of the two, it would be a hard decision. My French is my best second language, but I've been to France many times more than I have Germany.

Well, you won't be coming around here then.
Good luck on your travels and don't forget to come back to spudding when you can. Seems that people have a tendency to move on completely after they have left for awhile.

Well when you're in the US, let me know if you drop by Oklahoma. You probably won't, because there's not really a whole lot here. But if, lol. Have fun, I wish I could take a trip around the world.
