Not true in the least. I've seen 8" DWV fittings that are over 1/2" thick. The main reason we don't use DWV is because it isn't made the same way, and the socket depths are much shorter than potable water fittings.[/quote]
So is it still ok to use a DWV bushing as long as both pipes are rated?

Yes, it is fine, as long as it is after the valve. DWV PVC, ABS, or whatever, is all fine, it just has to be after the valve.
This post is useless, and I have no idea how this happened. I can't delete it though. Oh well...
