The electric pneumatics definitely have DWV bell reducers. The sockets are so short the bushings don't go in all the way.

I also call bullshit on the 200 yards. I just finished my biggest cannon yet and firing golf balls can barely come up with that kind of distance. With spuds there is no way. He makes a good looking product, but safety should come first. Plus he is making a buttload of money, even considering shipping. We all know how much those things would cost to make.

This gun is meant to launch items with a pressure of approximately 80psi.
If those fittings are indeed DWV, then may God be with the poor soul who pressurises it.

Hmmm I got another idea:
1: Wait until some lazy guy with alot of money buys a cannon from him.
2: The cannon explodes
3: He gets sued.

Though this would require a "sacrafice" wich is exactly what we are trying not to happen.

Wow this retard is using unregulated co2 in his pneumatics: http://cajuncannons.homestead.com/store_co2.htm

All it takes is for some idiot to forget to turn the shut-off valve and that mother will get charged with 800 psi.

emails will be sent.

edit: ok, there's a pop-off valve. But he's still made some critical mistakes.

The photo gallery threw up a red flag for me:

-The cannons are all made of ABS (DWV, by my experience with the stuff) (unless he painted the PVC black). This is fine for combustions, but his pneumatics too.... :x

-The igniter is placed in the endcap on one of his combustions... not the best place to put it.

-The igniter itself is a piezo sparker taped to the handle...how he warrants charging $35+ for that setup I don't know.

-He advertizes "Electric Pneumatic" as if it's some kind of feature.

-His "twister" cannon appears to be a ball valve...again, hype ftl (oh, and it goes for $100.)

...the list goes on.

Mmm... I think the guy who owns the site stuffed an advertising link for that shop at the bottom of the Wikipedia spud gun page.

Someone else removed it not long ago when I forgot to and I'm not sure I can find the will to trawl through all those edits since to find him.

We've seen some lack of safety and embellishment (to put nicely) from some people who have tried to sale cannons, but I think the unregulated co2 takes the cake. Guy is selling a bomb basically.

This could be a good opportunity to make a S*&^load of cash.
Buy un-regulated cannon, fake a blow up (or wait till it does blow up), then contact the retard that sold it to you and tell him you will sue if he does not fork out $3 million in cash!*

Honestly i'm so glad that the membership to Spudfiles increases on a daily basis- it keeps us and a lot of people we know so much safer around spudguns :)

* Said actions, if carried out in the U.S. could result in time spent in a state pen.

Edited to remove some stupidity, some remains 8)

Maybe nature will take its course and the guy making them will have one blow up in his face.

Weird, I was thinking the exact same thing. If we got a bunch of people to do it, we could start a fund for "the advancment of spud technology".
And I have to wonder if he even tests his cannons since he is still alive.
